Brendan's 40th

We had a busy Saturday, which included Avery's dress rehearsal for her ballet recital, Ryan's basketball game, and dentist appointments for both of them. We then had Nan come over at 3pm to stay with the kids for the night, while we headed up to Vail for Brendan's 40th birthday.  It started snowing on our way up and quickly got dark and very snowy.  I drove since Andy is still recovering from his ankle injury.  It was definitely a little hairy driving.  We arrived at Dana and Brendan's house at 6:10 with time to quickly change clothes and hop on the shuttle at 6:20.  So glad we didn't have to worry about driving and it took us right to the Four Seasons for the festivies.  Dana did a great job of planning the party and the food spread was amazing and included pulled pork, sushi, beef, etc.  We had fun meeting Dana and Brendan's friends from the Vail area and hanging out with Dana and Brendan once we were back to their house for a little bit before crashing in their daughter's bed.  We woke up the next morning with even more snow and left early to head back to Denver!  Glad we were able to make the trip to celebrate!
