Trick or Treat

We headed out around 6 to start trick or treating. They had so much fun going up to each door and saying Trick or Treat and getting candy. We got back after 7 to have some dinner and answer our door. Every time the door bell rang, Avery and Ryan jumped out of their chairs and ran to the door to open it and give out candy. After some butterfingers and peanut m&ms, it was bath time. What a fun day!

Halloween Party

Avery and Ryan's school has a parade and then each class had a party afterwards. Andy and I arrived right before the parade started. It was so cute to see them dressed up and lined up for the parade. Ryan had a melt down right before they took off and decided he didn't want to go. Then as everyone left, he decided he did want to go and he wanted me to go with! When we got back to their classroom, Ryan wanted his costume off! I don't blame him it was pretty warm out. The kids decorated baby pumpkins and enjoyed a plateful of food.

Miscellaneous Pictures

Avery loves any type of pasta! Ryan lining up his animal cards. The animal cards are usually in a bag he carries around and has to sleep with it. This has been going on for a few months now.

Tavern

We headed to downtown Littleton for dinner out with Avery and Ryan. We had planned to go to Merle's but the wait was too long, so ended up at The Tavern. We had a fun dinner and were pleased with how well the kids did.

Pumpkin Decorating

After cupcakes, we moved on to pumpkin decorating. I found lots of stickers from last year and so we opted to keep it nice and simple this year. The kids had a great time and were pleased with their final products!

Pumpkin Cupcakes

When Avery and Ryan woke up from their naps I told them we were going to make cupcakes. Ryan was not happy when we went downstairs and figured out that there were no cupcakes for him to eat right now. We put on their aprons and went to work - not really much work since there were only two ingredients. Yellow cake mix and pureed pumpkin. It doesn't get much easier than that. They had fun helping stir and putting the batter in the muffin pan, but not as much fun as actually eating the cupcakes! They were yummy!

Pumpkin Patch

We had planned to go to the Chatfield Pumpkin Festival last Sunday, but the kids' nap got in the way! We found a small pumpkin patch off of Bowles today and decided to check it out. I think Avery and Ryan enjoyed seeing the horses next door more than picking out a pumpkin. It was slim pickings, but we did find one to bring home. Next year, we will make sure make it to the Chatfield pumpkin patch!
