We took Avery and Ryan around to a few houses and Avery seemed to grasp the hang of it – go the door, grab some candy and put it in her candy basket (Not that she knew what candy was, but she did like putting things in the basket and keeping it organized). She was the designated candy carrier for the two of the them. Ryan of course was most interested in trying to chase after dogs and just run around. He wouldn’t wear the football helmet or carry the football – but his speed and compact size should make him a good running back someday; Avery seemed to play the part of cheerleader well.

October went by quickly and we enjoyed the gorgeous fall weather and scenery. Avery and Ryan love going to My Gym on Saturday mornings. And, we have been having fun at the park, going for bike rides, walks, and playing in the yard. Looking forward to Thanksgiving in a few weeks!

Sunday evening, we headed over to meet Beckett and see Dana, Brendan, and Stella. We brought over dinner as we definitley remember what the first few weeks are like! Beckett is a cutie and already 4 weeks old and growing quickly! Avery and Ryan had fun playing with Stella and chasing around the dogs. We can't wait until Avery, Ryan, and Beckett are older and we can all hit the slopes together.

Andy's friend, Justin (aka Junx), was in Denver for a conference. It worked out for him to spend Saturday evening with us before he headed back to Hawaii on Sunday. We picked up dinner at Brickyard BBQ - burnt ends, pork, beef brisket, ribs, and sides! It hit the spot! Avery and Ryan enjoyed playing with Junx (and Raleigh too)! Junx brought Avery and Ryan some cute hawaiian outfits for next summer. Can't wait for them to get to wear them!
After gym class, we headed to the Pumpkin Festival and met up with the Carlsons. It worked out well that we arrived around the same time and headed straight for the patch. Last year was a little easier to take pictures. This year, Avery and Ryan just wanted to run around and wanted nothing to do with standing still. We picked out a few pumpkins and then walked around the rest of the festival before heading home for lunch and naptime. It was lots of fun and looking forward to next year when Avery and Ryan might be up for some of the rides. After naptime, we headed to Olga and Paul's to celberate Nika's 2nd birthday. Not sure if she understood it was her party, but the kids had fun playing!

We headed north to visit the Meyer's on Sunday afternoon. It is fun now that Avery and Ryan can somewhat keep up with the Annabelle and Gwyneth. The kids enjoyed playing outside on the playground before dinner. But, Ryan ditched the play set and headed over to the rocks. He is one happy kid when he gets a chance to play with rocks! We had a delicious dinner and the kids did great sitting at the little kid's table together. After dinner we enjoyed chocolate cake and some football! It was also time to switch out the 12-18 month clothes we borrowed for 18-24 month clothes. Avery got great use out of the summer clothes and looking forward to the fall clothes.

Ryan found a stroller that he could use to put his Brown Bear book in and push around.
