Asian Tropics

In honor of Avery and Ryan, we donated money to the new Asian Tropics exhibit at the Denver Zoo and we were able to dedicate a plaque to them.  We received a special invite to preview the exhibit before it officially opens to the public on June 1.  We picked up Avery and Ryan from school just as nap time was finishing.  It was the cutest thing we have ever seen.  All the kids were out when we arrived and not surprisingly, they have Avery and Ryan on opposite sides of the room.

We had a great afternoon exploring the Asian Tropics. The new area is very open and environmentally friendly.  Ryan loves elephants and he could not contain his excitement to view each of the four elephants. The highlight was when we got to see Dolly cross the bridge.   We also got to spend a little time viewing the other exhibits before heading to the pavilion for dinner.  We then headed out and grabbed yogurt before heading home!  So nice to view the exhibit without a lot of crowds.
