Kiawah, here we come!

We had to leave for the airport at 6am, which meant we had to wake up the kids. They weren't too pleased but quickly got over it. There are no direct flights to Charleston, so we ended up flying through Houston. We figured we were in for a long, but we had no idea. Ryan was definitely our better traveler and Avery was more fidgety and struggled on both descents with a lot of screaming and kicking - possibly some ear issues. We were happy to arrive at Kiawah after 10 1/2 hours of travelling!

Avery and Ryan content in their stroller. They were excited to see all the airplanes on the ground and kept saying "airplane, airplane",

Ryan checking out the view. I lucked out on the flight to Houston and Charleston with no one sitting next to me.

We loaded some videos on our ipods to try and entertain them. We found some "Silly Animal" DVDs, that did the trick for Ryan and he really just wanted to watch the Elephants over and over again.

Snack time

My parents arrived earlier in the afternoon and were able to head to the grocery store before we arrived to get some necessities such as milk and beer!
