Hanukkah Party

Saturday afternoon, we had the Krumholz's over to celebrate Hanukkah. I made latkes and sugar cookies and Ana brought homemade applesauce. I haven't made latkes in a few years and they turned out well and kept disappearing off the platter as did the cookies! Matt and Andy played Dreidel with the kids and soon they just wanted to eat their gelt instead of play Driedel with it. The kids did well playing with each other and it was fun to catch up with Matt and Ana.

Santa Breakfast

We joined the Carlson's, Meyer's, and Braidman's for the Santa Breakfast at the Wildlife Museum. Avery and Ryan have been pretty timid around Santa so wasn't sure how this would go. Luckily, Keith was able to reserve us tables so we could sit together and they weren't too close to Santa. The breakfast was very impressive and the Santa even more so. He was such a good Santa and so nice. After breakfast and a somewhat successful visit with Santa, we ventured through the Museum. What a fun morning.

Holiday Show

Primrose had their 6th annual holiday show at Heritage High School. Avery and Ryan have been practicing their song for months! Their class song was Red, Green, Black which is a Kwanza song. Avery was excited to get on stage and had all the words and hand motions down. Ryan knew all the words, but wasn't as excited about leaving us with his teachers and classmates. It was so cute to see all the classes perform! We are already looking forward to next year!

Broncos

Ryan dug right into the food when we arrived at the Meyer's. They had a yummy hot dog bar with all the fixings. We had fun watching the game and catching up with The Carlsons and The Meyers. The kids had a great time playing with the toys and were sad when we had to leave at half time to head to another party. We made it to the Baughman's in time to watch the 2nd half and more importantly the Broncos win in overtime!

Fun at the Meyer's

Butterfly Pavilion

Before heading to the Meyer's for a football party, we went to the Butterfly Pavilion in Broomfield. We have been wanting to go for some time, so this was a perfect opportunity since it wasn't too far from the Meyer's and we would miss the Bronco traffic.

Denver Museum of Nature & Science

We headed to the the Denver Museum of Nature & Science to check out the T. Rex Encounter exhibit. This was our first trip to the museum and started out in the Wildlife exhibits, then to T. Rex, and then we made it to Exhibition Health. The T. Rex exhibit was neat, but a little scary for Avery. Ryan insisted on wearing his hat the entire time! No cameras were allowed, but they did have a free photo with T. Rex, which was fun! We didn't cover as much of the museum as we would like so got a membership so we will be back again soon.

Snow Football

The guys played snow football today at Wash Park and the weather did not disappoint. This was probably their coldest and snowiest snow football game to date. After an injury free game, they headed over to Pub on Pearl for some lunch and beer!
