Thanksgiving

The weather was a little cooler Thursday, but still sunny and a great day to be outside. We biked on the beach and played at the park. After lunch, Andy and I explored the island while the kids napped in the backseat. The houses are truly amazing and fun to just drive around and check them out. We had a great Thanksgiving dinner - everything was delicious. So thankful to be able to spend another Thanksgiving at Kiawah with my side of the family and Andy's parents.

Charleston

On Wednesday, we headed into Charleston with Andy's parents to celebrate Andy's dad's 70th birthday (his birthday was Oct 25). We checked out the holiday train set at the hotel, had a yummy lunch at Leaf, and visited the horses (one of Ryan's favorite activities) at one of the barns for the Carriage tours.

Beach

On Tuesday, we had another day of perfect weather! Avery and Ryan had a blast building sand castles, playing golf, and kicking the soccer ball on the beach with their cousins. Andy's parent arrived Tuesday evening. So glad they were able to make the trip down again this year.

Kiawah

We have been looking forward to Kiawah for months. On Sunday morning, we dropped off Raleigh at the kennel and made our way to the airport. We checked in at curb side and I hung out with the kids while Andy parked the car. They did great! After two plane rides and a layover in Atlanta, we landed in Charelston just as the sun was setting. After an hour wait for our luggage and getting everything in to the rental car, we headed to Kiawah Island. My mom and dad had arrived a few hours earlier and had a chance to get settled.

On Monday, we had a gorgeous day and it was 80 degrees. We drove to the Sancturary to check out the decorations and the beach. The kids had fun running around the beach. We also went on a bike ride - we gave up the burley and moved to seats on the back. It was easier on Andy this year and the kids enjoyed the view. Only downside was that the kids couldn't get a nap in while we biked around the island.

We had the Carlson's and Meyer's over to catch up, watch some football, and have the kids play. The kids are all getting so big! We lined them up from oldest to youngest!
